Limp Bizkit is one of those bands that I always forget that I'm in love with, and I do not listen to them nearly enough. Chocolate Starfish and Hot Dog flavoured water (their third studio album) is one of my most prized possesions - every song on that record is a banger - I've listened to it countless times and still nowhere near getting bored with it. If only I could remember they would be in my top eleven (at least) bands.
Anyway so about a month ago I saw the album artwork for their new album Gold Cobra and I just knew it was going to be a smasher... and after waiting (not very patiently) for it for what seemed like a decade, I can say that it fucking well is. It might be better than Chocolate Starfish (in terms of quality) but it's kinda too early to say, it needs to accompany me on a few car journeys and boring days at the library finishing essays before it fits into it's appropriate place in Bizkit's album history, but let's just say it's a solid 2 for now. 'Loser' and 'Get a life' are my faves for now - and not just because I like the titles - but so far there ain't a song on there that I haven't liked. Like I've mentioned before, it's a crime against my personal set of laws to do anything other than BUY the ALBUM (no downloading) so I rushed off as early as possible yesterday morning to get my grubby paws on this bad boy and I found myself getting a little too excited over the album artwork in hmv when I managed to snap the damn cd case in half (bollocks!) and getting told once again by the same member of staff 'you don't look like a metalhead' - 'that's because I'm not!' thanks!
Oh and in the words of Fred Durst, 'If you don't like it, you can scratch up on these nuts. Bitch!'
Happy listening.
